Merge a PDF without uploading it
When the files should never leave the browser, local merge is the whole feature.
A merged PDF is usually a small favor: a cover letter, a contract, and a scan that need to travel together. It is also the moment a lot of sites quietly become a copy machine for your documents.
FileNest’s merge tool builds the new file in the browser. The pages stay in the order you set, each page keeps its own size, and the only thing the server learns is that a merge happened and roughly how large it was. That is enough to enforce a daily limit. It is not a copy of the contract.
If a file asks for a password, merge stops. Open it with Unlock PDF only when you already know that password, then merge the result. FileNest will not try other passwords for you.
Local merge is the right default for offers, medical paperwork, and anything you would not drop into a random chat. When you simply need a smaller copy afterward, compress the merged file. Compression does use the server, and the temporary copy is deleted within the hour.
