Files are processed temporarily and automatically deleted. Limits are shown before processing. Corrupted or unsupported files stop with a clear error.
Unlock PDF removes encryption when you already know the open password, so a file can be archived or printed without asking every time. If you do not know the password, FileNest stops there.
Some PDFs only carry a permissions restriction and open with no prompt. Leaving the password blank asks qpdf to clear that restriction. It will not invent a password you cannot remember.

Questions about unlock pdf
Can FileNest unlock a PDF if I forgot the password?
No. There is no guessing, wordlist, or bypass. If you do not know the password, this tool cannot open the file.
What is an owner password?
Some PDFs open freely but block printing. If the file opens for you with no password, leave the field blank and FileNest will try to remove that restriction.
Is this for other people's files?
Use it on documents you are allowed to decrypt. A password you do not know is the end of the process.
